Keeping Active

Outings, entertainers and in house socials, family parties, birthdays, special days just leave it to us. Afternoons in the garden, family and friends calling round, walks across Aylestone meadows, nearby shopping at Fosse Park. Festive celebrations come into the parlour and join our family circle. Residents regularly enjoy a wide range of leisure activities including gentle exercises, current affairs, board games and quizzes. Outside the sensory garden is very popular with residents, families and visitors alike.

Local primary schools are involved, providing us with concerts and we enjoy visits from professional entertainers and a local choir.

Our staff our only too willing to assist in any interests, art and handicrafts anyone who enjoys baking or gardening is encouraged to get involved with the support of friendly assistance.

Visiting

Relatives and friends are encouraged to visit at their convenience.  There is a dedicated well-equipped visitor kitchen to enable them to prepare drinks and light snacks, or they can join in with a main meal in the residents dining room.

The family group is very important in supporting the home and are always made welcome. Contact and communication with and from the home is fully encouraged and ranges from the regular newsletters, open invitation to the homes calendar of events, informal chats and telephone calls with the team and the Manager to the more formal reviews with the external Care and Health professionals.
